Tree Inventory

Trees owned by the City of Auburn will be assessed to identify, analyze, and evaluate risk. The Urban Forestry Specialist collects and synthesizes data on all of the City's trees, including tree species, tree size, tree health, hazard conditions, removal and pruning needs, and replacement recommendations. The tree inventory and assessment program provides critical information to City officials, who are then able to make informed, data-driven decisions regarding risk/hazard mitigation, beautification needs and opportunities, and ecosystem health.

The City tree inventory includes all publicly owned trees on City right-of-way and city facilities. High priority areas and individual trees will be assessed annually beginning at bud break and continuing through summer.
