Auburn, Ala. - Auburn Parks and Recreation's May Concert Series continues on Thursday, May 23 at 6 p.m. with a performance by Martha's Trouble. Enjoy FREE outdoor concerts every Thursday in May from 6 - 7:30 p.m. Pack a picnic, bring the dog, and enjoy live music from a variety of local musical acts each week.
With a style best described as pop folk music with searing female vocals, Martha’s Trouble has been compared to the Cranberries, Cowboy Junkies, Natalie Merchant, Dar Williams, and Alanis Morissette. This husband-wife duo first hit the Houston music scene in 1994 and has been gaining momentum ever since, touring Canada and the Southeastern United States. With a host of albums to their name and an inspiring list of awards (including Americana Album of the Year at the 2005 Just Plain Folks Awards), this act carries a sizeable and ever-increasing fan base.
Mark your calendars for every Thursday evening in May as Auburn Parks and Recreation offers free music at Town Creek Park. Concerts will be held weather permitting.
