Auburn, Ala. - The Auburn Area Community Theatre (AACT) is excited to announce its production of "A Midsummer Night’s Dream." Written in 1594 by William Shakespeare, "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" is a story of the events surrounding the marriage of Theseus, the Duke of Athens, and Hippolyta. Young lovers collide with warring fairies in this magical retelling of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedy with a modern twist! Filled with mayhem, mix-ups, and mischief, this production is sure to delight audiences of all ages.
Performances will be held March 6, 7, 8, and 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center. An additional matinee performance will be held on March 8 at 2 p.m. Doors will open 30 minutes before the show. Tickets are $6 for children, students, and seniors and $8 for adults. A special family night will be held on March 10 with $6 tickets for all attendees. Show time is approximately one hour.
The AACT strives to educate and enrich children through theatre. Its mission is to present quality, entertaining, and thought-provoking theatre experiences. AACT seeks to serve the Auburn community by providing an avenue for artists and artisans to collaborate and create theatrical presentations and offer the community an opportunity for education and participation in the world of theatre.
