ENGAGEMENT AND OUTREACH LIB

Snowflakes and Sweaters

This winter, the Auburn Public Library invites the entire family to celebrate the Auburn Public Library’s 75th anniversary by taking the Snowflakes and Sweaters Winter Reading Challenge from December 1 through January 31.

You do you, and learn what you want! The challenge is simple — read or listen for at least 1,000 minutes during Snowflakes and Sweaters! That’s just 20 minutes a day. No matter your age, everyone is eligible to compete. You do not need a library card to participate. Everyone who completes the challenge will receive a 75th anniversary commemorative t-shirt or hoodie (while supplies last) and will be entered into the grand prize drawing.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless! Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yes you can repeat books) before your child starts kindergarten. Attending a library storytime counts as books read as well! Attendance can be logged for an activity badge. Use the program to track your reading and lookout for your completion prize from the Auburn Public Library!!
