Project Description
Replacement of the bridge on Moores Mill Road from East University Drive to Grove Hill Road over I-85 to a five lane segment to improve traffic flow. Through lanes will be constructed on Moores Mill Road at the East University Drive intersection, as well as dual left turn lanes on East University Drive. Dual left turn lanes will also be added for traffic exiting Grove Hill Road onto Moores Mill Road.

The Moore's Mill Bridge Replacement Project is in conjunction with the State of Alabama through the Department of Transportation under the Department of Transportation under the Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvements Program (ATRIP).
The project began in April 2016 and is anticipated to be completed in early 2018. Scott Bridge Company is the contractor for the project.
