Auburn, Ala. - Join the Auburn Arts Association on Friday, April 11 at 10 a.m. at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center as they host an artist talk and pastel demonstration with Eugenia Bates Yielding. The event is free and open to the public.
The program will include a brief talk and demonstration of the drawing techniques and pastels Yielding used in her recent landscapes and portraits. Yielding will also demonstrate her method of attaining both realistic and impressionistic effects with pastels. The artist talk is beind held in conjunction with the Spring Invitational Pastels exhibition, featuring pastel drawings by Eugenia Bates Yielding, Karen Lindved Chittom, and Robert Ekelund. The exhibit is free and open to the public weekdays from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. through Friday, May 9 at the Arts Center.
