Q: Is the City of Auburn currently under a drought watch?

A: Yes.  The Water Works Board of the City of Auburn declared a Phase 1 Drought Watch on May 12, 2008, and adopted temporary drought water rates, effective June 1, 2008. These temporary rates were developed after evaluating historic water usage, and are designed to help reduce peak water demands.
