Public Safety Week is a key component of WaCaDa. Leading up to this week, Auburn
citizens were introduced to a media campaign composed of posters, Public Service
Announcements, and TV spots highlighting different safety issues. The City of
Auburn and Auburn University partnered to bring Auburn WaCaDa!, a
public safety campaign aimed at different forms of transportation:
motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists. Throughout the week of April 2-6, members
of the Auburn Public Safety - Police Division were patrolling City streets and
the Auburn University campus to bring awareness to traffic issues, while student
volunteers passed out informational brochures attached to candy.
