Dog Licenses and Leash Laws

The City of Auburn requires owners to have a dog license for all dogs ages three months and older.

The Dog License Form and other forms can by found on the City's forms page.

No more than three dogs may be registered at an address. Dog licenses are renewed each calendar year and are $15 each for non-sterilized dogs and $5 each for all other dogs.

The fine for failure to obtain a license as a first offense is up to $150/dog.

Dogs must be kept under the control of their owner at all times, whether by leash, fence, or other humane means.
