Available
The winter programs brochure
is now available online, and hard copies are
available to the public at all city
facilities, the Chamber of Commerce, and the
Auburn Public Library. You can access

October 31, 2006 Downtown Trick or Treat 2006
Downtown Trick or Treat 2006 will
be held on Tuesday, October 31 from 6 - 8 p.m.
in downtown Auburn! Children ages 12 years
and younger and parents/guardians are invited to
join Auburn Parks & Recreation and participate
in this excellent alternative to door-to-door
trick-or-treating!
Downtown merchants will provide
the treats and goodies, and live musical
entertainment will be at Toomer's Corner.
Be sure to wear your best costume and you will
have a chance to win the "Best Costume Contest
for Downtown Trick or Treat 2006."
Admission is FREE!

release) Winter Basketball
Registration Auburn Parks
& Recreation winter registration for Youth, High
School, and Adult Basketball will be held at the
dates below. All registrations will be held at
The Dean Road Recreation Center Monday - Friday
from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Youth League Basketball registration for
children in grades 1 - 7 will be held Oct. 16 -
Nov. 2. The registration fee is $25.00. School
team players are not eligible to participate in
this league.
Registration for High School Basketball for
grades 8 - 12 will be held Nov. 6 - Dec. 4. The
registration fee is $25.00.
Adult Basketball registration will be held Nov.
13 - Dec. 14. Registration fee is $400.00 per
team. High school students are not allowed to
participate in this league.
Birth certificates are required for youth
participants. Fees for residents living outside
of Auburn city limits are different from the
above fees. For additional registration
information, please contact Auburn Parks &
Recreation at 501-2930.

release) Auburn Dog Club
Kickoff The City of Auburn Parks &
Recreation Department hosted the Bark, Walk and
Talk kickoff for the Auburn Dog Club on Sunday,
Oct. 1 from 2 - 4 p.m. at Kiesel Park.
Members of the Dog Club will have the
opportunity to meet other pet owners with
similar interests. Citizens can walk their dogs
around trails and enjoy treats for both dogs and
humans. The public is encouraged to bring
ideas for future club projects.
The next meeting of the Auburn
Dog Club will be on October 15th. A dog
obedience instructor will be present answering
questions and enrolling participants for basic
obedience classes. More information is
