Thursday, July 4 @ 1:20 p.m. - Due to current inclement weather and the long-range forecast through Friday, Auburn's Annual Fourth of July Celebration, sponsored by Briggs and Stratton, has been postponed until the fall. City officials will announce plans soon for the fireworks to be part of a community event held later this fall. Thursday, July 4 @ 12:10 p.m. - A decision regarding Auburn's Annual Fourth of July Celebration and fireworks display will be made by 2 p.m. today. Event organizers are consulting with forecasters and the pyrotechnic crew to determine the best plan of action to ensure an enjoyable fireworks display for citizens. Wednesday, July 3 @ 12:50 p.m. - Auburn’s Annual Fourth of July Celebration, sponsored by Briggs and Stratton, is still a go for Thursday, July 4. All efforts will be made to keep the celebration as-is, with gates opening at 6 p.m., live music at 7 p.m., and the fireworks at 9 p.m. The pyrotechnic crew has stated they only need 15 minutes of relatively clear weather to produce the show. Monday, July 1 @ 5:25 p.m. - Auburn’s Annual Fourth of July Celebration, sponsored by Briggs and Stratton, is scheduled for Thursday, July 4. Every effort will be made to hold the event on July 4th. Event organizers will watch the weather and post updates to the City’s website and Facebook page beginning Wednesday, July 3.
