Auburn, Ala. - The Auburn Arts Association is now accepting artist, pie bake-off, merchant, and volunteer applications for the 7th Annual SummerNight Downtown Art Walk. This event is perfect for local artists to display their talents, while offering the community a chance to enjoy an evening in beautiful, downtown Auburn. There will be children’s activities early in the evening, musical entertainment by Dave Potts and Spoonful James, and downtown merchants will remain open after hours in order for patrons to shop, dine, and relax. In addition to arts festivities, the SummerNight Committee encourages culinary artists to display their talents through pie. Submit your best pie for entry in the inaugural SummerNight pie bake-off! What better way to bring our community together than through pie?!?
Artists are encouraged to exhibit and sell their work, while merchants are welcome to offer activities to invite the community into their businesses. Restaurants and merchants may also sell items directly in front of their business. Volunteers are also needed for the event. All applications are due no later than Monday, June 10.
The event will be held on Friday, June 14, from 6 – 9:30 p.m. in downtown Auburn and is FREE to the public. In the event of rain, SummerNight will be held on Saturday, June 15. Artists, bakers, downtown businesses, and restaurants are encouraged to participate.
