Auburn, Ala. - Auburn's Town Creek Park now offers additional play equipment for its youngest citizens to enjoy. A new climbing wall and bumble bee spring rider have been installed alongside the new playset provided by Weston Solutions in the summer of 2012. The newest play equipment was purchased using private donations and provides an excellent alternative for citizens while Hickory Dickory Park remains closed due to blasting for a new sewer line. A number of Auburn parks feature playground equipment, including Felton Little Park, Sam Harris Park, Martin Luther King Park, and Duck Samford Park. All City parks are open for public use from sunrise to sunset daily.
Auburn citizens are reminded that Hickory Dickory Park remains closed to the public as crews complete blasting work associated with the installation of a new sewer line. In order to ensure the safety of park patrons, citizens will not be permitted to enter park grounds until work in the area has been completed. Auburn Parks and Recreation apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates its citizens' understanding during this closure.
