Auburn, Ala. – The talented
artists of Studio 222 have created “Curves and Edges,” an exhibit featured on
display at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center from March 22 to April 28,
2017, with a reception held on March 31, 2017 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
exhibit is displayed in the gallery, which is free and open to the public
Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
reception with the artists will be held on Saturday, March 31 from 5:30 – 7:30
p.m. at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center, located at 222 E. Drake Ave.
and Edges exhibit contains a wide variety of two and three dimensional fiber artworks
that incorporate either curves, edges or both. This colorful and interesting
exhibit was created using intricate dyeing and painting techniques. It also
contains a surprise or two!
222 includes seven fiber artists from the east-central Alabama, Montgomery and
Daphne areas who meet once a month in Auburn, Alabama. These artists explore,
experiment and enjoy working in fiber and related art froms.
Studio 222 artists include: Nola Chambers, Carolyn Courson, Linda Harshbarger,
Sally Hurlbert, Nancy Morgen, Laura Kloberg and Cindy Reinke.
