Auburn, Ala. – The 17th
Annual Auburn CityFest, presented by the Opelika-Auburn News and sponsored by
MAX, is less than two months away! Join Auburn Parks and Recreation at Kiesel
Park on Saturday, April 29 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. for a day of fun.
The Auburn CityFest Committee is excited
to announce this year’s theme and entertainment. It’s time for tie-dye shirts
and go-go boots because the theme for Auburn CityFest 2017 is Peace, Love and
CityFest! From the decorations to the entertainment, Auburn CityFest 2017 is going
back to the 60s.
The WannaBeatles, a Beatles cover
band, will be headlining at the Main Pavilion. The WannaBeatles offer a
fun-filled, family-friendly extravaganza that goes "where no Beatles band
has gone before." You will hear your favorite Beatles tunes, but there's
much more! Their hilarious parodies, onstage antics and audience involvement make
The WannaBeatles a must-see show.
Headlining in the Children’s
Imagination Station will be Steve Trash, the 'Rockin' Eco Hero.' Steve Trash is
an award winning performer who strives to make ecology "fascinating and
fun." Not only is he an environmental educator, but he is also a kid
comedian and illusionist.
