The Auburn CityFest Juried Art Show Awards Artists
Auburn, Ala. - The Auburn CityFest 2008 Juried Art Show was held on Saturday, April 26 at Kiesel Park in conjunction with Auburn CityFest. Forty-two works of art were exhibited during the festival in the Nunn Winston House.Eight artists received merit awards for excellence. Karen Chittom’s work “In the Window” received the $500 Auburn & Opelika Tourism Bureau Award. Artist Bill Gwin received the $200 City of Auburn CityFest Award for his work “Wild Flowers.”
Teresa Rodriguez, Frost Rollins and Paula Bagwell received Auburn Arts Association Awards. Amy Geiger, Martha Shamp and Kevin Simpson also received awards.
This year’s CityFest was the largest festival to date with record attendance. It was a wonderful day for the community.
