Auburn Youth Football

On-Line Registration for tackle football begins July 16, 2012 and goes through August 4, 2012.

Walk-In Registration will be at Dean Road Rec Center on August 4 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.

**Important Tackle Football Info**
Any registered players who did not participated as a tackle football player in the previous season have two opportunities to try-out.  If a player fails to try-out prior to the team selection meeting, then that player will not be placed on a team.

All participants must complete the weigh-in process at Physicals.  If a player fails to complete the weigh-in then that player will not be placed on a team.  

**PHYSICALS**
Physicals will be on August 6 and 7 from 6:00 to 7:00 at Frank Brown Rec Center. All participants must have a physical to participate in this program. Physicals will cost $10.00.

**TRYOUT DATES / TIMES**
All registered players have two opportunities to try-out if they have not participated as a football player in the previous season.  If a player fails to try-out or complete the weigh-in process prior to the team selection meeting, then that player will not be placed on a team.  Try-outs will be held Thursday, August 9 and Saturday, August 11 at Duck Samford field 1 located off of University Dr.  Player must attend one of the two tryouts. 

Thursday, August 9 Tackle Tryouts

SEC:  8 & 9 year olds at 5:30pm

NFL:  10 -12 year olds at 6:45pm

Saturday, August 11 Tackle Tryouts

SEC:  8 & 9 year olds at 9:30am

NFL:  10 -12 year olds at 10:15am

**WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS**
SEC League – 8 & 9 years old
* 105 pounds max to carry ball. 106 pounds and above *Restricted* and must play on line tackle to tackle. No weight limits on participation

NFL League – 10, 11, & 12 years old
* 10 and 11 years old – 130 pounds max to carry ball. 131 pounds and above – *Restricted* and must play on line tackle to tackle. No weight limits on participation.
* 12 years old – 110 pounds max to carry ball. 111 pounds and above and in the 6th grade – *Restricted* and must play on line tackle to tackle.
7th graders are not eligible to participate.
