ADDENDUM NUMBER 1

 

BEDELL VILLAGE SEWER OUTFALL FOR THE CITY OF AUBURN, ALABAMA

 

City of Auburn project No. 05602

 

 

  1. REVISIONS TO PROJECT MANUAL

 

1.1       The following revisions are hereby added as Addendum No. 1 to the

referenced Project Manual and Plans shall be considered when preparing bids.

 

  1. TAX SAVINGS

 

2.1       The City will be providing the pipe material and manholes for this

           project, therefore a tax savings program will not apply.

 

  1. TIME OF COMPLETION

 

3.1      The time of completion shall be 45 days from the issuance of the

Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall proceed with work        immediately upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed.

 

  1. BASE BID – SCHEDULE OF ESTIMATED BID QUANTITIES AND PRICES

 

4.1       See Attached.

 

             

  1. MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT

 

            5.1      MANHOLE (0-6’ DEEP)

 

Work under this item shall include installation of manhole in the locations shown on the construction drawings and grouting of the inverts in accordance with City of Auburn Standard details and specifications.  The required vacuum testing is included in this item, and shall be done prior to placing the line in operation. 

 

Measurement and payment shall be based upon the unit price bid for setting the manhole and grouting the inverts.

 

  

            5.2     MANHOLE (6’-8’ DEEP)

 

Work under this item shall include installation of manhole in the locations shown on the construction drawings and grouting of the inverts in accordance with City of Auburn Standard details and specifications.  The required vacuum testing is included in this item, and shall be done prior to placing the line in operation. 

 

Measurement and payment shall be based upon the unit price bid for setting the manhole and grouting the inverts.

 

 

            5.3       MANHOLE (8’-10’ DEEP)

 

Work under this item shall include installation of manhole in the locations shown on the construction drawings and grouting of the inverts in accordance with City of Auburn Standard details and specifications.  The required vacuum testing is included in this item, and shall be done prior to placing the line in operation. 

 

Measurement and payment shall be based upon the unit price bid for setting the manhole and grouting the inverts.

 

            5.4       MANHOLE (12’-14’ DEEP)

 

Work under this item shall include installation of manhole in the locations shown on the construction drawings and grouting of the inverts in accordance with City of Auburn Standard details and specifications.  The required vacuum testing is included in this item, and shall be done prior to placing the line in operation. 

 

Measurement and payment shall be based upon the unit price bid for setting the manhole and grouting the inverts.

 

5.5              8” DUCTILE IRON SANITARY SEWER MAIN

 

Work under this item shall include installation of 8” ductile iron sanitary sewer main and appurtenances to the locations shown on the construction drawings in accordance with City of Auburn Standard details and specifications.  Also included in this item are all necessary taps, grouting, fittings, tying to existing manholes, pressure testing, bedding material and #1 foundation stone.  Any cleanouts required at easement lines shall be included in this item.

 

Measurement shall be based upon linear foot of 8” ductile iron sanitary sewer main installed.  Payment shall be based upon the unit price bid for installation 8” ductile iron sanitary sewer main.
