Auburn, Ala. - Seung Chang Airtek, Inc. (SCA) is continuing its commitment to Auburn by introducing yet another product family to be manufactured in Auburn. The company held an opening ceremony for the SCA Automotive Foam Plant located at 2175 Pumphrey Avenue on Tuesday, April 3. At the ceremony, the company introduced its new manufacturing line which will produce vibration and noise dampening materials for the automotive industry.
Man Hong Park, CEO of the South Korean-based Seung Chang Airtek who attended the Auburn facility’s opening ceremony said “This is an important day for the Seung Chang Airtek corporation. We started our business in Auburn in 2004 and this is another important milestone in our ability to serve our customers in North America.”
Over the past eight years, SCA has grown into an operation with almost 400 employees in Auburn. Dr. Daniel Yu, CEO of the Alabama-based Seung Chang Airtek, Inc., providing a business overview of the foam business, explained “This will further diversify the product line-up of SCA operations in Auburn which will make us an even stronger company in North America.”
“We are excited about this latest announcement by SCA,” said Dick Phelan, Mayor ProTem. “Over the years, SCA has become a prominent industry in Auburn and has successfully fostered its relationship with the community. It is therefore very rewarding for all of us to celebrate today’s achievement,” Phelan said.
