Outstanding Friend of the Bicycle Committee

The purpose of the Outstanding Friend of the Committee award is to recognize those in Auburn's community who support the Bicycle Committee by volunteering their time and helping fund various programs. 2007 Recipients: The Auburn Civitan Club

The Auburn Civitan Club is a supporter of bicycling in the City of Auburn. The Club is the primary funding source for the fourth grade bicycling education program, which is designed to teach safe cycling in a fun environment. Thanks to the generous support of the Auburn Civitan Club, 20 bicycles have been purchased for use in the program.

The Civitan Club also contributes to the annual Bike Bash. These donations help make the event successful and in turn support other bicycle safety and education programs throughout the year.

The Auburn Civitan Club also willingly donates their personal time to bicycle programs and the promotion of bicycle awareness in the City of Auburn. They are the primary source of volunteers for the annual Bike Bash.
