In May 1998, the Auburn City Council adopted Auburn 2020: Imagining a Better Community. Auburn 2020 is a long-range plan established with the purpose of guiding the future of the City and setting forth new goals, policies, and programs for encouraging and influencing positive change during the future years. The Auburn 2020 document was created with the involvement of citizen volunteers, elected officials, and City staff. Auburn 2020 includes the Auburn Bicycle Plan, which describes how we plan to make Auburn a more bike-friendly community. As a part of Auburn 2020, the Auburn Bicycle Committee was formed to further this goal by coordinating with City Departments.
