Mission Statement

The purpose of the Urban Core Task Force is to evaluate City ordinances, policies, procedures, and State laws which impact our downtown with the goal of formulating a community vision for the Urban Core which will assure the economic viability, aesthetic integrity, and reflect sensitivity to the historical importance of our downtown by retaining the "Auburn Character."

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee will be comprised of seven members representing the following interests:

The Steering Committee will identify key issues affecting the Urban Core. The committee will also solicit input from the community at large.

Timeline

The Steering Committee should present its initial findings and recommendations at the November 7, 2006 City Council Meeting. If further study is needed, the final report shall be completed by the end of 180 days.
