This web site exists to provide 24-hour access to information and services provided by the city, in an effort to further the
City's mission.
Overview
The City of Auburn web site is organized, as indicated by the blue buttons at the top of every page, into the categories listed below for ease of navigation. By pointing your cursor at any button, you can reveal the drop-down menu allowing you to see and visit all of the content areas for that section.
Under the Home button, you will find a link to the City's photo submission page, where you can submit photos of Auburn for use on the City's web page, as well as a photo credits page to give credit to the photographers whose work adorns the site.
You will also find site information including the Site Map, which provides a quick listing of the contents of the entire site, and
Site Tools, with links to free software that you may want to install to be able to view documents found throughout the site. Finally, you can also access key
contact information for the City of Auburn.
As always, you can click on the home button to return to the
City of Auburn's front page from any page on the site.
Under the Services button, you will find links to the ongoing services provided on behalf of Auburn citizens by elected officials, municipal employees and citizens who volunteer their time and expertise to maintain the standard of life that citizens of the loveliest village have come to expect.
By clicking on Committees and Organizations, you can learn more about the offerings of groups that have an official relationship with the city, and/or involve a combination of Auburn citizens and city employees working together to better Auburn in some way.
Boards and Commissions provides links to the boards and commissions that serve the City of Auburn and the larger community of which it is part. Membership on these boards and commissions is typically determined by nomination and approval of
City Council. The Council often considers the expert recommendations of Auburn's boards and commissions as part of their deliberation before a vote.
The City Budget section presents publications and information related to the City of Auburn biennial budget, including the
budget document,
CAFR, and
departmental budgets.
The City Council section provides information on Auburn's City Council as a whole and each of its members by ward.
Finally, under City Departments, you can find information about and offerings from each department of Auburn's municipal government.

On the left-hand side of every page, you will find a menu of orange buttons to provide navigation options unique to that section of the
web site. Many of these menu buttons also contain pop-out menus to provide links to as much information as possible in the fewest
possible clicks.
Below the left-hand menu on every page is a search bar where you can search the entire web site, including all web pages and PDF
documents.
Header and Footer
In the header of the web site, you will find the City's logo (also providing an ever-present link to the home page) to the left of
photography provided by City of Auburn staff and citizens. These images are intended to
represent life in Auburn via photography. Please
go to the photos page to submit your own photography to share with visitors to the City's web site.
As our library of photographs grows, look for these pictures to change as you re-visit each page of the site, and for some individual
web areas, such as the Library and
Parks and Recreation, to offer photography with a unique flavor appropriate for the
special offerings they provide to Auburn residents.
In the footer of every page is contact information where you can find out more about that section of the web.
Body
In the content found in the body of the web site, look for words or passages
in blue to indicate a hyperlink to more information.
Right Sidebar
On the right-hand side of every page are links to highlighted events and information we think you will find of
special interest. These may vary from section to section, so be sure to pay attention to the information
and offerings highlighted in different web areas.
Privacy & Security
We at the City of Auburn respect your privacy and security as a visitor to the
City of Auburn website. This web site sets does not use cookies and does not
collect any personal information about its visitors.
We also keep scripting to a minimum for users who purposely disable javascript
and other scripting. If you have all scripting disabled in your web browser, the
rotating picture galleries in page headers will not function properly, but all
content and navigation should be fully functional.

This site is optimized to display properly for resolutions from 800x600 and up. At very low resolutions, the some pull-down menus may be longer than your screen. All content on these menus can be accessed by using your scroll wheel to scroll the page down while pointing at the menu.
