Auburn, Ala. - Get ready for mini-sized fun as Auburn Parks and Recreation wraps up its Outdoor Movie Series on Friday, Aug. 16 at 8:30 p.m. at Duck Samford Park - Field 1 with a showing of the 1989 adventure comedy, "Honey I Shrunk the Kids." Enjoy this FREE community event with your family, friends, and neighbors. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair and a picnic (no alcohol or glass containers). When the scientist father of a teenage girl and boy accidentally shrinks his children, along with two other neighborhood teens, the teens must fight large-scale dangers in their new pint-sized world as their father searches for them. Honey I Shrunk the Kids, starring Rick Moranis, Matt Frewer, and Marcia Strassman, is one of three films released in 1989 to feature an animated title sequence, along with Christmas Vacation and Troop Beverly Hills.
