Auburn, Ala. - At a February City Council meeting, the Auburn City Council will consider an ordinance replacing the “Animals and Fowl” chapter of the City Code.

If the ordinance passes, dog licensing requirements in the City of Auburn will be permanently eliminated, and rabies vaccination issues will instead be enforced through provisions established in the Code of Alabama. 

With this legislation pending, dog licenses will not be required in 2013.
