Auburn, Ala. - Citizens are encouraged to keep their sales tax dollars local and ShopAuburn this week. Downtown metered parking is free to the public during the week of November 19-23. Auburn's sales tax revenue supports Auburn City Schools, provides infrastructure improvements, supports public services such as police and fire protection, provides for the maintenance and paving of roads and helps sponsor community events such as Daddy-Daughter Date Night, Bike Bash, Downtown Trick-or-Treat, and Auburn City Fest.
