Downtown Auburn connects the City and the University and represents the City of Auburn’s historic, service, and retail core. The Downtown Master Plan will guide the future of Downtown Auburn, including enhanced streetscapes; improved parking; and future development, open space and Downtown boundaries. The planning process has been characterized by public input, with three public meetings and an online survey in addition to meetings with downtown stakeholders. In each of these meetings, citizens, business owners, and public officials have offered their vision for the future of Downtown Auburn and provided their input on the plan’s elements. This Open House is an opportunity for residents to review the plan before it is presented to the Planning Commission and City Council, and provides a chance to discuss the plan elements in a more individualized setting.
