Auburn, Ala. - Hickory Dickory Park will be closed for the Auburn Rotary Club's annual spring work day on Saturday, March 29 beginning at sunrise. The park will remain closed until work has been completed at approximately noon. Club members will be adding new mulch and treating the playground equipment as part of their work day. Auburn Parks and Recreation would like to express its appreciation to the Auburn Rotary Club for their commitment to maintaining Hickory Dickory Park for over 15 years. The club has adopted the park as one of its annual service projects and devotes a large portion of its service hours to special projects at the park.
Hickory Dickory Park is Auburn's largest playground. Built as a community project, the playground has been one of Auburn's favorite play destinations for over 15 years. A number of Auburn parks feature playgrounds in addition to Hickory Dickory Park, including Felton Little Park, Town Creek Park, Sam Harris Park, Martin Luther King Park, and Duck Samford Park. Citizens are encouraged to visit these playgrounds while Hickory Dickory is closed for maintenance Saturday morning.
